About
Hello! I’m an illustrator living in Brighton UK. My focus is on providing a concise visual solution in a strong and immediate graphic composition. Much of my work has a conceptual take that provides a visual twist. Ideas are very important, as are colours and shapes! Inspiration comes particularly from early 20thC design, and the forced economy of early printing processes.
I studied BA illustration at Middlesex university and post graduate studies at Central St Martins school of Art and Design.
I've honed my work illustrating for such clients as - The BBC, The Royal Mail, The New York Times, Nature, Publicis, Caspian Publishing, Microsoft, British Airways, The New Scientist, M&C Saatchi, The Economist, The Financial Times, The Sunday Times, The Guardian, Corbett, Medicus, OUP, The Radio Times, The Telegraph, The Observer, Verizon, Virgin Atlantic, The Independent, Aviva, Sony, The Mail, Restaurant magazine, The Washington Post, Bloomsbury, Portobello, BMP DBB, AMV BBDO, Time Out, Time Out NY, Mckinsey, The Folio Society, Hodder, Design Week, Interbrand, BT, Conran Design, etc.
Honoured to say my work has been recognised by;
Communication Arts, American Illustration, D&AD (Yellow Pencil), Creative Review Annual (Best in Book), 3x3 Annual - Merit, The AOI World Illustration Awards

“I’ve worked with Neil for 25 years and found it doesn’t matter how difficult the subject – he always comes up with an idea. Even with the most specialist concepts his gets what is going on and his illustration helps others understand. He can make the most abstract topic interesting and add style. No matter how difficult the brief, Neil always delivers on time.”
